Made to Measure Leisure Trousers

While tailoring sits at the core of the Atelier Saman Amel Atelier offering, curating a wardrobe involves a range that varies in formality and that all require the same attention. Atelier Saman Amel leisure trousers and shorts are produced in a small family-owned workshop in the outskirts of Milan, Italy. While the drawstring waistband acts as a base, options in terms of design, fabrication and fit are still plentiful to cover all seasons and areas of usage.

A limited selection of shirt jackets can be ordered from remote as made to order without an in-person appointment. For remote orders, send a request to be connected personally with a team member for more details.

Available by appointment in Stockholm and London ateliers or during trunk shows in New York and Los Angeles. Make an inquiry for pricing details and to book an appointment.

Materials

Unlike tailoring where Atelier Saman Amel works with thousands of cut length fabrics from multiple mills and cloth merchants, the shirt jacket program focuses on uniquely developed fabrics made exclusively for the atelier. The offering ranges from the softest brushed cashmere for Fall to washed linens and slubby raw silks for Summer where each fabric has been developed to fill a particular purpose and function.

Craft and Origin

As with all Atelier Saman Amel Italian ateliers, the Milan workshop adheres to the single unit production model - meaning that each piece is produced individually which puts the operation in stark contrast to conventional fashion industry practices. The single unit production approach ensures that every garment is made with purpose and with a “zero vision” for over-production otherwise commonplace in the clothing industry. Furthermore, the model puts emphasis on the people in the workshop and enables them to work to perfect the garments in a manageable pace - focusing on quality over quantity.
